Discipline:
At ABC, we believe that positive discipline teaches and encourages the healthy development of a child's self-esteem. We feel that self-esteem is a vital part of the development of our children. Our teachers praise and call attention to appropriate behavior and act as role models in order to reinforce a child positively. Positive discipline techniques are constructive. We set limits, and enforce them fairly and consistently. The method of discipline used by the ABC staff is called "re-direction."

School Age Program
ABC has two beautiful rooms, each divided into age groups. Both rooms are taught by teachers that have worked full-time for TISD. Their goal is to help your child retain and improve reading skills. Our school-age programs include skating, swimming (in season), arts and crafts, and many field trips. School children are required to meet the same enrollment procedures and other policies as pre-school children.
Food And Nutrition:
To begin each day a hot breakfast is served from 6 a.m. until 9 a.m. Lunch is a well balanced, nutritious meal, prepared by a caring cook concerned for their appetites. A typical afternoon snack is a combination of cheese and crackers, milk and cookies. A menu is posted at ABC, available monthly to take home. There is no charge for meals as our program is funded through the CACFP in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
